La ventana al oceano

Aspectos positivos: La vibra del lugar. La vista al oceano. La amabilidad de la familia y de los trabajadores. La alberca. La vista al cielo en la noche. La comida riquísima. La atención de todos (tuvimos un problema por un accidente y estuvieron muy al pendiente). La playa y el escenario natural hermoso. La sensación es de vivir una experiencia inmersos totalmente en la naturaleza.

Aspectos negativos: Nada. Las instalaciones del cuarto están muy lindas y orgánicas pero la pata de la cama golpea seguido el dedo chiquito del pie.

Respirar océano

Aspectos positivos: Hermosa casa con muchos detalles individuales y llenos de cariño en un lugar excepcional. El trato de Valentina y Juan Carlos es muy cariñoso y las comidas del chef Fernando eran deliciosas. Tener la playa y el mar justo delante de las ventanas y de la terraza es una auténtica maravilla. Un manantial de salud escuchar el océano respirar 😀

Paradise!

Aspectos positivos: We had such a wonderful stay at casa Obe - we wished we could have stayed longer! The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. We were fed delicious meals - especially the coconut camarones. The house and rooms are beautifully built and decorated. The bed was very comfy, with AC and a fan. We probably had our best nights sleep here! We had an incredible view of the sea and the magnificent waves as we opened the curtains/door. We walked along the beach and enjoyed a beautiful sunset without anyone else around. (It would be amazing to come during whale season). And the stars at night were out in their millions. We lounged around the cooling pool all day, watching different birds come and drink from it. We didn't have time for the games room but it would be so fun to visit with family or a group of friends to make the most of all the facilities. We would definitely visit this beautiful place again!

Aspectos negativos: Nothing - we loved it all! A note on getting there... We arrived on moped along the main road which was under construction, so it was quite dusty. A car/taxi would be more comfortable. However the roads are likely to be finished soon so won't be a problem for long. Also, the journey was sooooo worth it and it was great to feel very off the beaten track :)

The most beautiful beach sights

Aspectos positivos: The view was great. Everywhere you look it's beautiful. The pool is great, as is the game room. There are plenty of places in the property to just relax and enjoy. The staff is really nice.

Aspectos negativos: The shower has almost no water pressure, but is just a small inconvenience.

Gorgeous location, excellent hosts, hope to visit again.

Aspectos positivos: Absolutely fabulous location. Beach wasn’t swimmable but so beautiful, and pool was lovely

Aspectos negativos: Food was decent but bit unexciting.

Paradise

Aspectos positivos: Splendid isolation - if you like peace and quiet - this is paradise! 20-25 mins to nearest town. Access is via a dirt road (but easily passable by a taxi - people in other reviews stating you need a 4X4 are wrong!) Beautiful local wildlife - in our short time there we saw dolphins, crocodiles, hawks, vultures, pink flamingos to name a few. Lovely family run bed and breakfast who were so helpful and supportive when my wife needed an emergency dentist. Great breakfast! Beds very comfy. Effective AC/fan in our room. Will definitely come again next time we’re in Huatulco!

Aspectos negativos: Nothing!

Serenity found at a magical beach guesthouse

Aspectos positivos: The host family was warm, welcoming and inclusive. They shared stories, mezcal, chapolines, and other traditional Oaxacan flavors. The beach, which we had to ourselves most times, had dramatic, thunderous, rolling waves. The property sits right on the beach and is set up with a variety of places to hang out and watch the ocean in comfort. Our faves were the beach hammocks and the infinity pool with built in seating. There is a super cute chapel on a little hill next door.

Aspectos negativos: The hostess was a great cook, but most meals were made by the guest house's one housekeeper, who wasn't a great cook. The restaurant next door though is good - particularly the ceviche. The road to get to the property was a challenge, but doable even in our tiny rental car.

Paradise Views

Aspectos positivos: The hotel was 'cabin-esque' and quite comfortable. The view and grounds were spectacular. The hosts, Juan Carlos and Valentina were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They all truly make you feel at home.

Aspectos negativos: The hot water was out during our stay, so cold showers were had. Not too big of an issue, as the weather was so warm.

Magical experience

Aspectos positivos: The staff was like staying with family and the food was incredible and brought to us daily at our room. The beach is incredible and only accessible to the guests and local community. There’s turtles and crocodiles and swimming spots and a pool. An incredibly intimate and relaxing spot. The warmth of hospitality and welcoming nature were well received. We will be back:)

Aspectos positivos: Beautiful location although it is recommended having your own vehicle if you would like to explore the area and visit places. But you can also plan to stay there and enjoy the place. I would definitely go back!

Aspectos negativos: I thought the price of the dinner was a little too high.
